I’m not one to judge people’s reasons, but I will, and from what I’ve gathered, the people who are making the decision are not exactly poor. What they will spend the extra money on is only for them to say. And who am I to tell them what to do with their property.
Perhaps a restaurant is more palatable than a club that’s open late, if you live close by.
However, it’s possibly the worst news I’ve heard regarding the cultural life in CB. Ok, Marty’s Club almost closed down and I have sympathy, but the music on offer is only different from Velbloud like shades of grey rather than opening up the variety of music available. Solnice on the other hand is unique, and genuinely one of my favourite places worldwide. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing some fantastic bands, met wonderful people, and had some great drinks.
The only thing I can suggest is that we support Solnice as much as possible over the next few months, if nothing else to enjoy it as much as possible before it turns into an eatery...
